Outdoor Lighting Perspectives in Clearwater

Customer called me yesterday and requested to replace plastic lens covers on her well lights. She was absolutely right.

Here are the top 3 reasons to replace plastic lens covers on your well lights:

1. your light may look dull because of discoloring of the plastic

2. leaves and mulch could get on top of the bulb and cause a fire

3. the plastic could melt on the bulb and the bulbs burns out earlier

When a light bulb burns out in your house, it only costs a couple dollars to replace and you are more likely to see if something gets on the bulb that could cause a fire. But with your outdoor lighting, a new bulb is $20 and you might not see if dirt or mulch or leaves get on the bulb which could cause a fire.

So, she had plastic lens covers and she told me the lights weren’t shining as brightly on her house. We decided to replace the plastic with glass lens covers. The lights looked great. They had this yellow look before because the plastic was old. Now, the light looked brighter and whiter.
